About the book

"After many years of playing chess, I decided to write a book in which I will put everything that I consider important that every chess lover, as well as a professional chess player, should know. At the beginning of the book I deal with the history of chess. The history of chess covers the period from its beginnings, which is linked to the story that it was created a little more than 2000 years ago, all the way to modern chess as we know it today. Part of the book is devoted to the development of chess in the Middle Ages, in Europe. Some of the first written works on chess were created in that period. The book covers some of the rules related to chess pieces and includes chess notation. After getting acquainted with the rules related to pieces, the next part of the book is devoted to chess openings. I have divided the openings into several groups such as: open games, semi-open games, closed games and semi-closed games. What I would like to point out is that I have listed a few important features about each opening and I have shown a picture of a chessboard next to each of them in order to better represent the opening I am writing about. There is a section in the book where I write about chess competitions, and by that I mean the types of chess competitions, the rules that apply to those competitions. I wrote about chess titles, the way to get titles and I separated the part where I mentioned honorary titles.
I hope you will enjoy acquiring new knowledge and skills in chess and that you will love chess."
